Description
Registered Nurse – Hospice
Location: Portland, OR 97213
Start Date: 08/17/2026
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days, 5x8 Hours (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Weekly Hours: 40 Hours
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of skilled Hospice RN experience required
- Travel experience required (No first-time travelers)
- Active Oregon and Washington RN licenses required
- BLS certification required
- Home Health/Hospice experience required
- Must have reliable personal transportation
Note: Travel experience required (No first-time travelers)
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate hospice nursing care in patients' homes
- Perform patient assessments and symptom management
- Administer medications and manage pain using hospice best practices
- Educate and support patients and families through end-of-life care
- Complete OASIS documentation and care planning
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, including social services
- Provide patient and family education regarding disease progression and comfort care
