UNIT:  ER
MGR INTERVIEW

Unit Information: Trauma level II, 18 bed unit, stroke certified, cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, respiratory, etc. Very face-paced environment. 3-4 pts per nurse. Epic computer charting. Pyxis medication dispenser. RNs draw labs, lab in house, RN does neb treatments. RT in house.  Xray staff on site in ED. 

Required Certifications:  WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC and PALS- ARC or AHA

Minimum Experience: 2 years - must have at least 3-6 months of prior travel experience- FIRM required. Trauma Level II experience required.  

Primary Location: AWH Emergency Department

Float requirements: May be required to float to other locations: Merrill, Antigo, Medford and Stanley.

On Call/Call Back Requirements: 12 hours in a 6 week period. Response time: 30 Min. Can be low censused and put on call. Call back minimum is 2 hours

Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend and every other holiday 

Charting Experience: EPIC required 

Scrub Colors: any color

Hard worker, Resilient and Manages Change well, Social candidates: Able to manage independently and complete tasks timely

Contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours     
travelers can be put on call during the 36 hours of unbillable low census. If called back in, they will have call back pay.    

GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed.

During flu season, any traveler who declines flu and COVID vaccination is required to wear a mask at all times. This is an Aspirus policy, and compliance is mandatory (No exceptions). Failure to follow the policy may result in corrective action.
