Travel RN – Hospice Care Manager
Location: Roanoke, VA
Facility: Good Samaritan Advanced Illness Care & Hospice
Start Date: August 10, 2026
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule
- Shift: Days
- Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Schedule: Monday–Friday (Flexible)
- 4 x 10-hour shifts may be considered
- No weekend requirement
- No traditional on call, but candidates should be comfortable with the standard responsibilities of a Hospice RN.
- Mileage reimbursement: $0.65 per mile
Position Overview
Good Samaritan Hospice is a highly respected, community-based, non-profit hospice organization serving the Roanoke and New River Valleys. The RN Care Manager provides compassionate, patient-centered hospice care in patients' homes and other care settings.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate hospice patient care.
- Provide symptom management and crisis intervention.
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Travel to patients' homes, long-term care facilities, hospitals, and community agencies throughout the service area.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent Hospice RN experience
- Active Virginia RN License or Compact RN License
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Good driving record
