Position Summary

CVS Health is seeking a compassionate and patient-focused Registered Nurse (RN) to support its retail vaccination initiative. This onsite, patient-facing role is responsible for administering a wide range of immunizations, educating patients, and ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality vaccination services in a retail healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer vaccines including Influenza, COVID-19, MMR, and other recommended immunizations.
• Assess patients prior to vaccination and monitor for adverse reactions following administration.
• Educate patients regarding vaccine schedules, benefits, possible side effects, and post-vaccination care.
• Safely administer medications while adhering to established clinical guidelines and protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and vaccination records.
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting positive health outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with pharmacists, healthcare professionals, and store teams.
• Adapt to changing patient volumes and operational needs in a dynamic retail setting.
• Promote a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and service excellence.
• Support public health initiatives through quality immunization services. 

Minimum Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of practice or applicable compact state.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, including immunization and direct patient care.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong medication administration and vaccination skills.
• Must not be listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
• High School Diploma or GED (verification required). 

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous retail, outpatient, or vaccination clinic experience.
• Experience administering multiple vaccine types.
• Strong patient education and documentation skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
