Job Title: Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Job Type: Contract | Part-Time (36 Hours/Week)
Shift: Nights
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in a fast-paced intensive care setting. The ideal candidate will deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care for pediatric patients with acute and complex medical conditions.
Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, responses to treatment, and changes in clinical status.
Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and blood products in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards.
Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
Monitor vital signs, hemodynamic status, and other physiological data, intervening appropriately when patient conditions change.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, procedures, and discharge instructions.
Coordinate patient care with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
Delegate appropriate patient care tasks to support staff while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
Minimum of 1 year of registered nursing experience in an acute care setting.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate Compact RN License (eNLC).
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
Strong knowledge of nursing principles, critical care practices, patient assessment, and clinical decision-making.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Ability to provide compassionate, family-centered care in a high-acuity environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher.
Experience in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) and/or Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Previous Level I Trauma or Level I Pediatric ICU experience.
Schedule
13-week contract
36 hours per week
Three 12-hour night shifts
Additional Information
Candidates with experience caring for critically ill pediatric patients are strongly preferred.
Experience in a Level I critical care environment is highly desirable.
H-1B sponsorship is not available for this position.
