Description

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse

The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse provides specialized care to patients requiring close monitoring and an intermediate level of care between a medical-surgical unit and the ICU. Responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, monitoring cardiac telemetry, administering medications and IV therapies, managing pain and wound care, and responding quickly to changes in patient condition. 

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • BLS/CPR certification required
  • Previous nursing experience preferred, including Progressive Care Unit experience
  • Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and patient care coordination skills
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and 12-hour shifts as assigned
  • Must meet all applicable federal, state, and local employment requirements

Assignment Details:

  • Specialty: RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
  • Contract Length: 8 weeks
  • Schedule: 36 hours per week (days or nights)
