Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Postpartum Registered Nurse for an exciting travel assignment in Glen Burnie, Maryland. This is a great opportunity for an RN who is passionate about providing exceptional care to postpartum mothers and newborns in an acute care setting.

Assignment Details

• Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Postpartum
• Location: Glen Burnie, MD
• Start Date: August 17, 2026
• Contract Length: 8 Weeks
• Schedule: 3x12 Hour Shifts
• Shift: Days (8:00 AM - 8:30 PM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours per Week
• Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Required as scheduled
• On-Call: Not Required
• Floating: May float within specialty and sister units as needed
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns.
• Perform admission assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitor, analyze, and document patient conditions and nursing interventions.
• Educate patients and families regarding postpartum recovery and newborn care.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and patient-centered care environment.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Adhere to established nursing standards, hospital policies, and patient care protocols.

Requirements

• Active RN License (Maryland license required prior to start).
• Minimum 2 years of Mother-Baby/Postpartum experience required.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Current NRP Certification.
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills.
• Ability to provide compassionate, high-quality care to mothers and newborns.
