Description
- Manage the overall operations of the Emergency Department with 24-hour accountability.
- Lead, supervise, and support ED nursing staff to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
- Develop staffing schedules and ensure appropriate daily coverage.
- Monitor department performance, patient satisfaction, quality metrics, and operational outcomes.
- Oversee staff orientation, training, education, and professional development.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care.
- Implement quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards.
- Investigate and resolve patient, physician, and staff concerns professionally.
- Participate in hiring, performance evaluations, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
- Maintain a safe, collaborative, and patient-centered environment while providing weekend and holiday coverage as needed.
