Registered Nurse (RN) – Electrophysiology (EP) Lab

Location: Rochester, NY
Shift: Day Shift (No Weekends, Holidays, or Call)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
EMR: Epic

Minimum Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License (license must be in hand)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Electrophysiology (EP) Lab experience
• First-time travelers accepted
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Strong phlebotomy and IV insertion skills (mandatory competency)
• Must be able to scrub procedures and/or utilize the Micropace monitoring system for ablations

• Baseline Measurements
• Cardiac Ablation
• Cardiac Mapping
• Cardioversion
• Conduction Studies
• Pacemaker Insertion
• Insertion & Programming of AICDs (Automatic Implantable Cardiac Defibrillators)
• Scrub and Circulate Procedures
• Interpretation and Management of Dysrhythmias
• Sheath Removal and Patient Monitoring
• Activated Clotting Time (ACT)
• Topical Hemostasis (D-Stat, Chito-Seal, Syvek Patch)
• Vascular Closure Systems (Perclose, StarClose)
• Blood Product Administration
• Implanted Port Care & Maintenance
• Administration of Antihypertensives, Emergency Medications, IV Vasopressors, and Thrombolytics

Schedule

• Day Shift
• No weekends
• No holidays
• No call required
• Block scheduling may be accommodated based on unit needs but is not guaranteed
