Referral Bonus

• Shift: 12-hour Nights
• Shift Timing: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week (36 guaranteed hours)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Facility: 226-bed non-profit community hospital
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of MedSurg RN experience
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required Certifications:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • Must pass a Telemetry exam during compliance
• Preferred:
  • PALS
  • Pediatrics and Psych experience (not required)

Required Skills

• Chest tubes
• Tracheostomy care
• PICC/Midline/Central line care (blood draws if needed)
• Foley catheter care
• NG tubes
• Dressing changes
• Wound VACs
• Ostomy care
• Telemetry monitoring

Patient Population

• Adult MedSurg patients
• Post-surgical patients
• Stroke
• Oncology (no chemo experience required)
• CHF
• COPD
• Respiratory conditions
• GI conditions
• Orthopedic patients (including total joints)
• COVID patients
• May occasionally care for pediatric patients if experienced
• Rarely may have a total-care assignment or assist as a CNA

Floating

• Required to float to:
  • 2EW
  • 2NW
  • 3EW
  • 3NW
  • 5th Floor
  • ER (for MedSurg holds)

Schedule Details

• Every other weekend required
• No on-call
• Scrubs: Any solid color (no graphics or designs)
