🚨 Travel CVICU RN Opportunity – Asheville, NC ❤️🏥
Join a highly skilled Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) team at a leading Level II Trauma Center in Asheville, North Carolina! We're seeking an experienced CVICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment.
📍 Location: Asheville, NC
📅 Start Date: September 7, 2026
⏳ Contract: 13 Weeks
🌙 Shift: Nights | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
🕒 Schedule: 3x12s (36 hours/week) with alternating weekends
🏥 Unit Highlights
- 16-bed Cardiovascular ICU
- Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 or 2:1 (occasionally 3:1 based on acuity)
- Cerner EMR
- Travelers float to other ICU areas as needed
✅ Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of ICU/CVICU experience
- Strong experience with:
- Titrating vasoactive/vesicant medications
- Pressors, sedation, and paralytics
- Ventilator and tracheostomy care
- Telemetry interpretation
- Hemodynamic monitoring and PA catheter interpretation
⭐ Preferred Skills
Experience with the following is highly valued:
- IABP
- Impella
- CRRT
- Cardioversion
- Transvenous pacing
- Chest tubes
- TEE
📋 Additional Information
- CCRN certification is preferred but not required
- Navy blue scrubs required
- No hoodies or green scrubs
- Work alongside a highly experienced critical care team using advanced cardiovascular technology

Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
