Description
Position Details:
- Registered Nurse (RN) – Birthing Unit (Labor & Delivery)
Schedule:
- Night Shift
- 3 × 12-hour shifts
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 Hours/Week
Guaranteed Hours:
- 36 Hours/Week
Requirements:
- Experience circulating in Labor & Delivery required
- Local candidates accepted at $10/hour lower rate
Required Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery/Birthing Unit experience
- Circulating experience required
Required Certifications:
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) – Intermediate level or higher (recent)
Preferred Certifications:
- Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO)
- NCC Perinatal Certifications (Maternal Newborn Nursing or Inpatient Obstetric Nursing)
- First Latch (Breastfeeding Certification)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn patients
- Circulate during Cesarean section procedures
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using electronic fetal monitoring
- Assist physicians during labor and delivery
- Educate patients and families on postpartum and newborn care
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
