Position Details:

• Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
• Mid Shift

Schedule:

• 4 × 12-hour shifts
• 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• 36 or 48 hours/week

Contract Length:

•  (13 Weeks)

Guaranteed Hours:

• As per contract (36 or 48 hours/week)

Requirements:

• VA RN License (pending accepted; must be active before start)
• Epic experience required
• Must have pediatric ER experience
• Must meet trauma experience requirement
• Unable to approve RTO around Labor Day
• Maximum 40 hours of RTO per contract

Required Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of ER experience
• Must have either:
  • 1 year of Level I Trauma Center experience, or
  • 2 years of Level II Trauma Center experience
• Pediatric patient experience required (does not have to be in a dedicated Pediatric ER)

Required Certifications:

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• TNCC (may submit pending but must obtain before start)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency nursing care for adult and pediatric patients
• Perform triage and emergency assessments
• Manage trauma, stroke, STEMI, and critical care patients
• Administer emergency medications and treatments
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary emergency department team
• Float within scope of practice as needed
• Document patient care in Epic
