Position Summary:
Staff RN responsible for patient assessment, and for developing, implementing, and evaluating an interdisciplinary plan of care for patients with varied diagnoses. Provides education to patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals, and maintains professional standards of conduct per department and institutional policy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs individualized patient assessment; develops/implements/evaluates interdisciplinary care plans
• Provides patient, family, and caregiver education
• Assists in supervision of staff, students, and volunteers as appropriate
• Maintains a safe, clean working environment, including unit-based safety and infection control standards
• Complies with all facility policies, licensing/certification requirements, and mandatory training timelines
• Demonstrates sensitivity to patient/caregiver rights

Experience Required:

• 1+ year RN experience
• ICU experience

Education Required:

• BSN, OR
• ADN with 5+ years' RN experience in a high-acuity operating room

Licensure:

• Active CA RN License

Certifications:

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS — required within 90 days of hire/end of orientation
• NIH Stroke Scale — required within 90 days of hire
