Description
Hospital-based Surgical Center (Pre-Op) supporting 55–70 surgical cases daily across 15 operating suites. This role focuses on pre-operative patient care, IV starts, surgical preparation, and supporting a wide variety of procedures, including robotic surgeries and both same-day and overnight cases. RNs do not scrub in procedures.
Schedule
- 3x12s or 4x10s
- Various day shifts (6a-2p, 7a-3p, 8a-4p, 9a-5p)
- Rotating weekends:
- One scheduled 8-hour weekend shift
- One 24-hour second-call weekend shift every 4 weeks
- 1–2 additional second-call shifts per month
- 30-minute call response time
Requirements
- BLS
- Strong IV skills
- Pre-Op/Surgical care experience
- Robotics experience preferred
- RN license required (facility willing to wait)
- Must submit a copy of an unexpired driver's license
- 50-mile radius rule applies
