Description

About the Role:
As a Labor & Delivery RN, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality nursing care to women through all stages of labor, delivery, and postpartum. Your expertise and compassion will help ensure safe, efficient, and family-centered care during critical moments. You'll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to foster a positive birth experience and promote the health and well-being of both mother and newborn.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in professional nursing practices, techniques, and procedures.
  • Experience in monitoring physiological data and responding effectively to patient needs.
  • Ability to document care accurately and communicate clearly with patients and team members.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Current RN license issued by a recognized licensing authority (e.g., an active multistate license).
  • Certifications including BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), with possible eligibility for advanced certification in neonatal care.
  • Must have 2 years of L&D experience and at least 2 years of travel experience.
  • Must be over 50 miles from the facility. Locals not accepted.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with advanced fetal monitoring or neonatal resuscitation training.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • An Associate’s Degree in Nursing is required.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program is highly desirable.

Additional Requirements:

  • Certifications such as NRP Instructor or Advanced Provider are advantageous.
  • Must be able to respond to the needs of diverse patient populations, demonstrating cultural sensitivity.
  • Flexibility to accommodate shift work, including night or weekend hours if needed.
