Usually depends on the job/shift positonCommon types of imaging/studies performed & Job DutiesAll routine CT exams for Inpatient/Outpatient and EDCardiac CT, biopsy/drain, Cryo/Microwave ablationsExperience or 'Must have' skillsMust be able to perform all routine CT exams as well as TraumaAverage # of scans/studies per day65-70 in a 24 hour period on 3 scannersEMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they useEMR = EPICPACS = SECTRAWindows computer softwareDepartment Specific Equipment (GE, Phillips, Siemens)1 GE REV CT2 GE REV HDRadiology Supervisor or Lead TechBoth Imaging supervisor and Shift/Modality lead techsDo they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)NoRadiologist in-houseRadiologist on site 24/7Do they have to start IV's (if applicable to the department)Yes IV skills very helpful for working outpatientsShifts & SchedulingShift times just depends - can be a mix of 10Hr and 12Hr shifts for both days & nights.
