Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – NICU
Assignment Details
- Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – NICU
- Start Date: 08/24/2026
- Contract Length: 12 Weeks
- Shift: Nights – 3×12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Block Scheduling: Available
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) candidates will NOT be considered. RRT is required.
Required Certifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- BLS
- NRP
- PALS
Charting System
- Epic (Required)
Schedule & Facility Requirements
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirement
- Floating required within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
- Local candidates accepted at the same travel rate
Time-Off (RTO) Policy
- Maximum 7 days of RTO
- All RTO must be submitted before the assignment is confirmed.
Holiday Requirement
Travelers are expected to work holidays based on the assignment period:
- If 1 major holiday falls during the contract, the traveler must work that holiday.
- If 2 major holidays fall during the contract, the traveler is expected to work both.
- If 3 major holidays fall during the contract, the traveler is expected to work 2 of the 3.
Major Holidays Include:
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving / Black Friday
- Christmas Eve / Christmas Day
- New Year's Eve / New Year's Day
Compliance
- Full compliance is required before the start date.
- Failure to complete compliance on time will delay the start date by 2 weeks due to the facility's bi-weekly orientation schedule.

- NICU patient care
- Bubble CPAP
- CPAP/BiPAP
- High-Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
- Oscillating Ventilator
- Ventilator Management
- Weaning from Mechanical Ventilation
- Troubleshooting High-Pressure Alarms
- Oxygen Therapy
- Airway Management
- Intubation Assistance
- Extubation
- Tracheostomy Care & Management
- Oral/Nasal Suctioning
- Sputum Specimen Collection
- Nebulizer Therapy
- ET Tube Management
Facility Notes
