Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) for a travel assignment in an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility in Jacksonville, Florida. This role offers the opportunity to work with adult patients recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury (SCI), neurological conditions, orthopedic injuries, trauma, amputations, and cardiopulmonary conditions.
The ideal candidate will be patient-focused, collaborative, and passionate about helping individuals maximize their independence and quality of life through comprehensive rehabilitation services.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide occupational therapy services to inpatient rehabilitation patients.
- Assist patients in improving functional mobility, activities of daily living, and independence.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Document evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge recommendations accurately.
- Educate patients and family members on therapeutic interventions and home exercise programs.
- Participate in team conferences and care planning meetings.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
- Active Occupational Therapist license.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
- Previous experience in acute care, subacute rehab, skilled nursing, or inpatient rehabilitation preferred.
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Experience with functional interventions and group/concurrent therapy preferred.
- Current BLS certification (if required by facility).
