Unit Highlights

• 30-bed Medical-Surgical unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6–1:7 (candidates must be comfortable with up to 7 patients)
• Charge RN available (also carries an assignment)
• Remote telemetry monitoring by monitor technicians
• Heparin drip titration based on aPTT
• Intermittent BiPAP (no ventilator patients)

Common Patient Population

• CHF
• COPD
• Cellulitis
• Pneumonia
• Urosepsis
• AKI
• Cholecystitis
• Appendicitis
• Rule-out admissions

Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS (AHA)
• NIHSS
• Comfortable with Med Surg patient ratios up to 1:7

Scheduling

• Rotating day/night shifts
• Rotating weekends
• Holidays as needed
• No on-call requirement
• Travelers float first based on census

• 50-mile radius rule applies
• Copy of an unexpired driver's license is required with submission
• Any licensing hits must be disclosed at the time of submission
• Facility cancellation policy: Up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract
