🔥 NIGHT-SHIFT EMERGENCY ROOM RN CONTRACT – CALIFORNIA ACUTE CARE CENTER
First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel contract opening for an experienced Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) in Bakersfield, California. Operating within a high-volume Emergency Care Center at a premier regional medical center, this position offers a structured 3x12 overnight schedule (19:00 PM - 07:00 AM / 7pm - 7am). If you are a seasoned emergency room nurse with strong California acute care experience, active CA state licensure, and comprehensive critical care certifications, this contract is tailored for you!
💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE
- Weekly Gross: $2,618.00
- Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,442.00
- Hourly W2 Rate: $28.00/hr (24 regular hours)
- Daily Overtime Rate: $42.00/hr (12 daily OT hours included under California labor guidelines)
📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS
- Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12-Hours (19:00 PM - 07:00 AM / 7pm - 7am). Block scheduling configurations are not available.
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 regular/OT hours guaranteed weekly.
- On-Call Requirements: Standby call rates apply ($155.95/hr call-back rate).
- Clinical Scope & Responsibilities: Independently prescribes, delegates, and coordinates emergency nursing care to acutely ill and traumatized patients. Performs continuous rapid triage, physiological and psychosocial assessments, emergency protocol activation, rapid response, and interdisciplinary care planning. Executes safe administration of critical care pharmaceuticals, narcotics, and therapeutic interventions in full compliance with the California Nurse Practice Act.
🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of clinical ER RN experience is strictly required. Strong experience working within California healthcare facilities is required.
- Licensure: Valid and unrestricted State of California Registered Nurse License (RN License) must be active and in-hand at the time of submission.
- Certifications Required: Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) credentials are mandatory.
