Registered Nurse – Psych (Travel)
Wichita, KS Shift: 4×12 Nights (7p–7a) Start: 8/30/2026 Contract: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 48/wk Every other weekend required No call
Job Details
Our client in Wichita, KS is seeking an experienced Psych RN for a night‑shift travel assignment. This unit supports adult behavioral health patients and may require floating to similar psych units on the same campus. Cerner OneChart is used for all documentation. Ceil‑blue scrubs required.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic, safe, and structured care for adult psych patients
- Conduct assessments, administer medications, and support crisis stabilization
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain safety protocols, de‑escalation techniques, and behavioral interventions
- Float to like units as needed
Requirements
- Active RN license
- BLS + ACLS (AHA)
- Psych RN Exam
- Psych RN Skills Checklist
- Core Nursing Exam
- Ishihara Color Vision Screening
- RN Pharmacology Exam
- Nursys verification
- Driver’s License/State ID
- Ascension Cerner Test‑Out (for onboarding)
- 2 professional references

Includes: MMR, Varicella, Hep B, Tdap, Fit Test, 2‑step PPD/IGRA, Color Vision, EKG exam, Core Competencies, Unit‑specific checklist, 12‑panel drug screen, education verification, employment verification, criminal background check, badge photo, Nova StatStrip, and additional Ascension onboarding documents.
