ICU Registered Nurse

Location

• Americus, Georgia

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Shift

• Nights, 12-hour shifts

Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend
• Holidays rotate with permanent staff

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Georgia
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Driver's License

Clinical Setting

• ICU / CCU
• 10-bed unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2

Key Responsibilities / Unit Details

• Monitor and read own telemetry
• May float to other acute care units if competent
• May float to the ER if qualified and credentialed
• Charge nurse takes patients
• No nurse aides on the unit

Patient Population

• Sepsis
• Pneumonia
• COPD
• CHF
• PE
• Occasional surgical pediatric patients

Equipment / Support

• Meditech EMR
• Phillips telemetry monitor
• Draeger vents
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7
• Hospitalist in house
• IV team available Monday through Friday

Orientation

• 3 shifts

• Strict 75-mile radius rule applies
• Driver’s license must be included with submission
