Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ED)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Location: 111 Hospital Drive, Utica, NY 13502
Schedule: Evenings | 3 x 12-hour shifts | 36 hours/week
Shift: 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. Candidates must have at least 2 years of recent ED experience, including pediatric emergency care, and prior travel nursing experience.
Submission Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
- Some Pediatric ED experience required
- Travel nursing experience required
- Active New York RN License
- Current certifications:
- AHA BLS
- AHA ACLS
- PALS
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- TNCC
- Experience with Epic EMR
- Skills Checklist matching ED specialty
- NURSYS license verification
- Driver's license with address matching submitted demographics
- Requested Time Off (RTO) must be submitted with the application
Travel Requirements
- Travel candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility.
- Local candidates (within 75 miles) will be considered at the local pay rate.

Clinical Skills & Medication Experience
Experience managing and administering:
- Vasoactive Drips: Levophed (Norepinephrine), Phenylephrine (Neo), Epinephrine, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine
- Vasodilators: Cleviprex (Clevidipine), Cardene (Nicardipine), Nitroglycerin
- Antiarrhythmics: Cardizem (Diltiazem), Amiodarone, Lidocaine
- Sedation: Precedex (Dexmedetomidine), Propofol, Fentanyl
- Other High-Risk Medications: TNK (Tenecteplase), Heparin, Insulin
Additional Information
- Floating to other appropriate units is required.
- Charge Nurse experience is highly preferred.
- Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed.
- Required scrub color: Navy Blue.
