We are seeking an experienced Perfusionist to join a nationally recognized Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated Acute Care Hospital. The Perfusionist will operate and manage the cardiopulmonary bypass (heart-lung) machine during cardiac and vascular surgeries, ensuring optimal patient circulation and oxygenation throughout procedures. The role also involves monitoring hemodynamics, maintaining perfusion equipment, and collaborating closely with cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the heart-lung machine during open-heart and cardiovascular procedures.
• Monitor blood flow, oxygenation, anticoagulation, and patient hemodynamics.
• Prepare, maintain, and troubleshoot perfusion equipment.
• Support ECMO and other mechanical circulatory support systems when required.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to ensure safe patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR.
• Participate in on-call coverage for emergency cardiac procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of Perfusion experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Active State Perfusion License (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)

Schedule & Details

• Shift: 5 × 8-Hour Days
• On-Call: Required as needed
• Weekend Call: Approximately every 5th weekend with possible holiday coverage
• RTO: Ideally no more than 5 days
• Schedule Requests: Discuss with hiring manager
