POSITION: LPN- Medical Surgical (6800) 

SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING =============================== • Shift hours/Contract Length: 3x12 D/N rotation 7a-7p/7p-7a, 13 weeks • Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend • Charting: EPIC experience required • RTO, Block & Special Scheduling Requests: Must submit requests upon submission • Call off Policy: The client may cancel (call off) up to three shifts during a 13-week contract period without incurring charges for the canceled hours. • Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed • Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes

• Locals Accepted? Radius Rule: Locals accepted for LPN's at $10 less.

REQUIRED LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS ===================================

• Pending License Accepted: No, must have an active New York Single State LPN license. (NY is not Compact)

• Required Certifications: BLS REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS ========================

• Must be able to take own patient assignment, with the support of an RN; Acute Care exp within the last 2 years • Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Start/maintaining IVs

• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks, Trach care/management • Feeding tube care/management, Heparin Protocols, Pacemakers/Temp/Perm, Telemetry-on the unit monitoring • Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac, MS/Tele, Ortho trauma, Total Joint Replacements, Surgical drains UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING =========================

• Ratios: 1:5–6

• Unit Details: Complex care unit for Medicine, ortho overflow and complex long-term patients • Floating: Will be required to float within skillset • Scrub Color: Any combination of navy blue and white HOSPITAL HIGHLIGHTS ===================
