Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location: Lafayette, IN 47905

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Days – 4x10 Hours (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

• On-Call Required (Rotating one week at a time, including after-hours and weekends)

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience (2 years preferred)
• Current BLS certification
• CNMT or NMTCB Certification (required and must be in hand at submission)
• Pending state license accepted
• Experience in Adult and Nuclear Cardiology settings
• Must be able to multitask and work effectively as a team player
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
• COVID-19 vaccine not required

Description:

• Perform a variety of nuclear medicine procedures, including bone scans, thyroid studies, HIDA scans, MUGA scans, gastric emptying studies, liver imaging, perfusion/ventilation scans, and myocardial stress testing.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals and safely handle, store, and dispose of radioactive materials in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Start and maintain peripheral IVs and follow isolation precautions when providing patient care.
• Perform imaging in Adult and Nuclear Cardiology settings while ensuring high-quality diagnostic studies.
• Participate in the rotating on-call schedule for after-hours and weekend coverage.
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to provide accurate diagnostic imaging and excellent patient care.
• Document procedures using Cerner EMR and maintain compliance with departmental protocols.
