Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Acute Care
Hilo, Hawaii
We are seeking a Travel Speech-Language Pathologist for a 26-week acute care contract in Hilo, Hawaii. This hospital-based opportunity offers the chance to work with adult patients in a collaborative medical setting while supporting communication, cognition, swallowing, and overall functional recovery.
This is a great fit for an SLP who has acute care experience, is comfortable working independently, and is interested in a unique long-term travel assignment in Hawaii.

Responsibilities
- Perform speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician orders.
- Treat communication, cognitive-linguistic, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Provide dysphagia management and patient/caregiver education.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, PT, OT, case management, and other care team members.
- Complete timely documentation and progress reporting.
- Work independently and demonstrate strong clinical judgment in an acute care environment.
