🚨 Travel Advanced Heart Care / Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse | Nights | 13-Week Contract
Join a specialized Advanced Heart Care/Cardiac Stepdown Unit caring for cardiac and stroke patients in a high-acuity environment.
📍 Location: Kentucky
🩺 Specialty: Advanced Heart Care / Cardiac Stepdown RN
🌙 Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12 or 4x12)
📅 Contract: 13 Weeks
Requirements:
✅ Minimum 1 year of Advanced Heart Care/Cardiac Stepdown experience
✅ Previous travel nursing experience required (No first-time travelers)
✅ Active Kentucky or Compact RN License (required at submission)
✅ AHA BLS, ACLS & NIHSS required
✅ Meditech experience preferred
Unit Details:
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4–5
- Every other weekend required (negotiable)
- Block scheduling may be considered
- No on-call requirement
- No travel pairs accepted
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a Certified Stroke Center or Stroke Unit
- BE-FAST stroke assessment competency
- Bedside dysphagia screening
- Familiarity with acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke guidelines
Submission Requirements:
- Requested Time Off (RTO) must be submitted with the application
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
- Active Kentucky or Compact RN license
- AHA certifications only
- Copies of certifications required
- No open or pending background/license issues accepted
- Local candidates within 65 miles are not accepted
- Must be able to stay within 30 minutes of the facility during the assignment
