Medical Surgical RN

Overview

Location: Springfield, Illinois
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Nights, 3x12 hours (18:45–07:15)
Contract length: 13 weeks
First-time travelers: Accepted
Local candidates: Accepted
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
Floating: May float as needed
On-call: Not required

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
Med Surg (2 years of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PICC line management experience
Experience starting IVs
Willingness to care for tracheostomy and laryngectomy patients

Additional Job Details

Must be willing to care for trach and laryngectomy patients and learn these skills if needed
May be assigned up to a 1:7 ratio if needed
Cerner experience is preferred
