🚨 Travel PCU RN | Days | 13-Week Contract

Join a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) focused on rapid patient throughput, ED decompression, and exceptional patient care.

📍 Location: Asheville, NC
🏥 Facility: Mission Hospital – Main Campus
🩺 Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN
☀️ Shift: Days | 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
📅 Contract: 13 Weeks (Start: September 7, 2026)

Requirements:

✅ Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg, Telemetry, and PCU/Step-Down experience
✅ Active RN License
✅ BLS, ACLS & NIHSS required
✅ Experience with Cerner preferred
✅ Charge Nurse experience or leadership potential is a plus

Unit Highlights:

• 40-bed Clinical Decision/Direct Admit Unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratios:
  • PCU: 1:5
  • Med Surg: 1:6
• EMR: Cerner
• Baxter IV pumps
• 1–2 CNAs per shift with goal of a free Charge Nurse
• Every other weekend
• No call required
• Floating within skill set as needed

Patient Population:

• Direct admissions from the Emergency Department
• Wide variety of medical, telemetry, and progressive care diagnoses
• Focus on rapid admission, medication reconciliation, and initiation of acute care
• Fast-paced, high-turnover environment requiring strong clinical judgment and teamwork
