🧠 Behavioral Health RN – Travel Contract
Facility: Denver Springs
Location: Denver, CO
Specialty: Behavioral Health RN
Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/week
⭐ Requirements
- Active RN License – Required
- Behavioral Health experience preferred
- Medical or Dual Diagnosis experience is a plus
- Strong de-escalation skills – Required
- Comfortable working with psychiatric and behavioral health patients
- Experience with CIWA and COWS preferred
🏥 Facility & Unit
- 96-bed behavioral health hospital
- 4 units with approximately 20–26 patients each
- Patient population:
- Adolescents: 13–17
- Adults: 18+
- Adult Mental Wellness
- Adult Acute
- Adult Dual Diagnosis / Substance Use Disorder
- Typical length of stay: 7–10 days
- Acute stabilization behavioral health setting
- EHR: HCS
👩⚕️ Patient Ratios
- Adolescent: approximately 1:12
- Adult Mental Wellness: approximately 1:12
- Adult Acute: approximately 1:12
- Adult Dual Diagnosis/SUD: approximately 1:10
📅 Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Weekends included within guaranteed 36 hours
- May receive call/text requests when there are call-offs or open shifts
- Must be willing to float between all 4 units as needed
👕 Additional Details
- Scrubs: Navy
- 1 opening
- 13-week assignment
- 36 guaranteed hours/week
📌 Best fit: RN with behavioral health, dual-diagnosis, or acute psychiatric experience who is confident with de-escalation, CIWA/COWS, and working with both adolescent and adult behavioral health patients.
