Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment. This position primarily supports a Telemetry unit with occasional floating to Medical-Surgical and, at times, MICU as needed. The ideal candidate is comfortable caring for telemetry patients, possesses strong clinical judgment, and thrives in a fast-paced acute care environment.

As a Telemetry RN, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality patient care while utilizing critical thinking and evidence-based nursing practices. Candidates must be flexible, team-oriented, and willing to float within their skill set.

Assignment Highlights

• 13-week contract
• 36 hours per week
• Night shifts or rotating day/night schedule available
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratio: approximately 4:1
• Primary assignment in Telemetry
• Floating required to Med-Surg and occasionally MICU
• Charting system: Meditech+
• Client interview required prior to offer
• Up to 2 shift cancellations permitted per 13-week contract

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience
• Recent Med-Surg experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Ability to work every other weekend
• Current CPR certification (if applicable)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Telemetry travel assignment experience
• Experience with Meditech charting systems
• Strong cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation skills

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for telemetry patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech+
• Float to Med-Surg and other units within competency as needed
• Provide patient and family education
• Ensure compliance with all facility and professional nursing standards
