• Bridge to transplant
Highly Desirable
• Academic Medical Center experience
• Simultaneous management of multiple support devices (e.g. ECMO + CRRT, ECMO + Impella, ECMO + IABP)
Potential Red flags
ECMO experience limited to a perfusionist-managed environment where bedside RN had minimal ECMO-related responsibility
No recent ECMO experience
Limited or no experience with advanced cardiovascular critical care populations
Limited experience with mechanical circulatory support devices beyond ECMO
Recommendation
Candidates should be assessed based on their ability to function within the UCSF ICC care model rather than ECMO experience alone. Prior ECMO experience should be considered one component of a broader competency profile that includes cardiovascular critical care, transplant, mechanical circulatory support, and multi-organ support therapies.
IMPORTANT:
THIS IS A FLOAT POOL POSITION, NOT UNIT BASED: ICU RNs to float to all TCUs and ICUs, ED and PACU.
Please add RTO time back to the end of the contract
