Description
Sh-M-Th 7-1700
The Electroencephalographic (EEG) technician is responsible to the Manager of sleep lab and the interpreting Neurologist.
The EEG technician performs adult/pediatric standard and ambulatory Electroencephalograms (EEGs).
This person will be responsible for the performance of EEGs in a competent and efficient manner.
They will ensure accurate patient assessments, patient education and quality data acquisition.
The individual will be responsible for maintenance of all lab equipment, infection control, patient safety, and an effective quality assurance program.
Thorough documentation, creation of concise preliminary reports, accurate billing and processing of interpreted study reports will also be done be this individual.
Essential Job Functions:
• Maintains current professional credentials and demonstrates competency through certification by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET).
