Registered Nurse

Location

Shift

12-hour day shifts

Unit Details

Intermediate care unit with 18 beds
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3
Telemetry on all patients; RNs read strips
One patient care technician per shift
Charge nurse and house supervisor available
Typical patient population includes post-MI with sheath pull, ADHS, post-op vascular, GI bleed, and DKA
Common drips include nitroglycerin, Neo, and Cardene
Respiratory support equipment includes BiPAP and CPAP

Required Qualifications

Active RN role
ACLS
BLS
Ability to titrate drips
Experience with typical step-down patients

Schedule Requirements

Every other weekend
Holiday coverage on an every-other-holiday schedule
No call or standby
May float as needed

Dress Code

Royal scrubs
Undershirts may be white, royal blue, or black

Orientation

Unit-based orientation

Additional Notes

12-hour days
Must work Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
