EEG Technician
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced EEG Technician to perform high-quality adult and pediatric electroencephalographic (EEG) studies in both standard and ambulatory settings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate patient assessments, ensuring quality data acquisition, maintaining equipment, and supporting patient safety while working collaboratively with physicians and clinical leadership.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent training in Neurodiagnostic Technology or a related field preferred
- Current EEG Technician certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of EEG procedures, patient care, and neurodiagnostic testing
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Experience
- 2+ years of EEG Technician experience
Preferred Certification
- R. EEG T. (Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist) preferred
Schedule
- Shift: Sunday, Monday, Thursday
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and ambulatory EEG studies for adult and pediatric patients.
- Prepare patients for procedures by providing education and ensuring comfort throughout testing.
- Conduct accurate patient assessments and obtain high-quality diagnostic recordings.
- Maintain EEG equipment and ensure proper functionality and cleanliness.
- Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and quality assurance standards.
- Document procedures thoroughly and prepare concise preliminary reports.
- Process study reports accurately and support proper billing documentation.
- Maintain professional competency and stay current with industry standards and best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with neurologists and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
