Title: CT Technologist
Location: Charlotte NC 28207
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 10hr Evening Shift - 40
Shift Information: Tue-Fri, 11a-9p
Clinical Interviewing- No
On Call, Call Back Requirements: No Call
Weekend Rotation -
Holiday Requirements: Travelers will work 75% of holidays

About Facility:
- Licensed Beds: 244
- ED: 16 beds
- ICU: ~ 20 beds
- Progressive: ~40 beds
- No Trauma designation
- Facility offers X-Ray, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine, with Radiology Nursing support
- TJC Stroke accredited
- Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
Department Information:
- Inpatient Census is typically 100% capacity - 224
- CT Department performs an average of 68 studies/day
- more during the week, less on weekends
Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years
Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
- Department will serve ED, Inpatient, Observation, and Outpatient patients
- Department performs CT guided invasive procedures
- Department will perform anesthesia cases as needed
- Will not perform cardiac CT imaging
Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:
- ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced registry in CT
- BLS
Skills required:
- Start peripheral IV's
- Venous and arterial phase scanning
- Multi-phase scanning
- Stroke imaging, to include Perfusion
- Colorectal studies
- TeraRecon knowledge preferred, not required
Support within the Department: Guest Services/Trasport for Inpatient & Observation patients
Technology/Equipment:
- EMR: EPIC
- RIS: Epic Radiant
- PACS: Philips iSite
- Department specific Equipment:
- 2 CT scanners (Siemens Definition – AS 64, Client VCT 64)
- Bayer/Med rad Power Injectors
Floating: If yes, where: No
Orientation (facility and unit):
- Administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review, etc.) – 1 day
- 2 days to 1 week departmental (as needed)
