Job Title: Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse - Mids/Evenings (University of Kansas Hospital - Kansas City, KS)
Job Description: Take on a prestigious travel nursing assignment at The University of Kansas Hospital (Bell Unit) in Kansas City, KS! We are seeking an experienced Level I Trauma OR Registered Nurse for mid/evening shifts (10:30 AM – 9:00 PM; Mon/Wed/Thu/Fri) starting August 31, 2026. Contract Details:
- Start Date: August 31, 2026.
- Duration: 13-week contract.
- Schedule: Mid-Shifts (10:30 AM – 9:00 PM, M/W/Th/F) | 40 Guaranteed Hours/Week | Set Schedule (No weekends; up to 6 call shifts/contract).
- Location: The University of Kansas Hospital - Bell Unit (4000 Cambridge St, Kansas City, KS).
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of acute OR experience with mandatory Level I Trauma background; strong scrub capability in DaVinci robotics, neuro spine, large head & neck, and ex lap cases.
- Licensure & Certifications: Active Kansas or compact RN license; active AHA BLS certification.
- Facility Note: Strict nicotine-free policy.

Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
