<p>Position: LDRP (Labor and Delivery + Recovery and Postpartum) RN</p><p>Details:</p><ul><li>Care for both labor &amp; delivery as well as recovery with mother/baby and postpartum care.</li><li>2 Triage beds for rule out labor, NSTs, fluids, etc. 16 weeks and over gestation.</li><li>Avg deliveries: 40/mo / 425/yr</li><li>Providers not always on site overnight, anesthesia within 30 mins and physicians within 10. No residents.</li><li>Growing CNM model so coverage 2-4 days per week.</li><li>RN responsibilities for skills check:</li><li> <ul><li>Cervical exams</li><li>Cytotec placement</li><li>Mag gtts</li><li>Newborn/preemie care post c-section/delivery</li></ul></li><li>Can float to M/S floor but only assists- not taking full assignment.</li><li>Staffing: 3 RNs and 1 CAN weekday, 2 RNs and 1 CNA weekend. 1 RN on call. Nightshift charge M-F typically available.</li><li>EHR: CPSI (uncommon- will get an intro and hands on during shadow shifts)</li><li>Orientation: 1-3 shifts on the unit based on experience.</li><li>Scrub color: Ceil</li><li>Equipment: GE Perinatal</li></ul>
