Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Respiratory Care
 

Location: 1493 Cambridge St, Cambridge, Massachusetts, 02139
Start Date: August 31, 2026
Duration: 13 Weeks with possible extension
Shift: Rotating | 8 & 10-Hour Shifts (1:45 PM – 10:15 PM, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM)


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment. The Respiratory Therapist will provide comprehensive respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients while working independently in an acute care environment. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient care.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary disorders.
  • Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, nebulizer treatments, and other respiratory therapies.
  • Perform respiratory assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Operate and monitor ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and other respiratory support equipment.
  • Respond to respiratory emergencies and assist during code situations.

     

Requirements

  • Active Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist License- Required
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through NBRC required.
  • Current AHA BLS Certification required.
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Acute Care Respiratory Therapy experience.
  • Previous Travel Experience Required.
  • Experience with Epic EMR preferred.
