Respiratory Therapist – Critical Care

As a Respiratory Therapist specializing in critical care, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and high-acuity environment, providing essential care to patients in need.

Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory therapy to patients in critical care settings.
  • Administer aerosol therapies and manage various respiratory medications.
  • Assist with intubation, extubation, and tracheostomy care.
  • Conduct arterial blood gas analysis and interpret results.
  • Utilize advanced respiratory equipment such as BiPAP, CPAP, and ventilators.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in emergency response and transport of critically ill patients.

Requirements

  • Permanent MA license required.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.
  • Minimum 3 years of recent critical care experience required.
  • Experience in a Level I trauma and emergency care environment required.
  • Ability to work in a high-acuity and fast-paced setting.
  • Previous experience with Epic charting preferred.
  • Flu vaccine required; exemptions allowed for medical/religious reasons.
