Title: CT/Rad Tech Dual Modality
Location: Charlotte North Carolina 28270
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: 12hr Day Shift - 36
Shift Information: 0700-1900
Clinical Interviewing- No
On Call, Call Back Requirements: No
Weekend Rotation: No
Holiday Requirements: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
Floating Requirements: None
About Facility:
- Free standing emergency department
- 12 bed ED
- No Trauma Designation, licensed under Advocate SE Pineville
- We offer 24/7 on-site X-ray, CT, and Ultrasound services
- New facility - Providence opened in 2020
- Radius rule: Traveler s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
Department Information:
- Average of 45 ED visits per day
- We perform an average of 30 total DX Rad & CT studies/day
Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years
Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes, as long as they are familiar with the CT scanner
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: ED patients only
Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:
- ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced registry in CT
- BLS
Skills required:
- Dual-modality DX/CT technologist role.
- Perform both CT and general x-rays, including portables.
- Ability/willingness to perform the below skills outside of US imaging (trained on site)::
- General vitals
- Sitter
- EKG
- Are expected to help room patients, get vital signs, line and lab patients, sit for some psych patients if needed when not performing radiology tasks
- Chaperone some US exams if needed
Support within the Department: Staff from other specialties/modalities – Teamwork expected

- RIS: Epic Radiant
- PACS: Philips iSite

- Providence CT scanner Client Revolution Evo
- Ballantyne CT scanner Siemens GoTop
- Bayer/Medrad Power Injectors
- Shimadzu RadSpeed X-ray (both locations)
- Shimadzu MX8 portable x-ray (both locations)
Floating: If yes, where: No
Orientation (facility and unit):
- Administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review, etc.) – 1 day
- 2 days to 1 week departmental (as needed)
