Travel Surgical Technologist | Mauston, WI | 13-Week Contract

Pyramid Consulting is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Mauston, Wisconsin.

Location: Mauston, WI 53948
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
On-Call: Weekend call rotation (7:00 AM Friday – 7:00 AM Monday) | 15-minute response time required
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
EMR: Meditech

Pay Package

• Regular Pay: $18.00/hr
• Weekly Housing & Meal Stipend: $1,196.16/week
• Weekly Gross Pay: $1,844.16 (subject to completion of scheduled hours)

Job Description

• Prepare the operating room by establishing and maintaining a sterile surgical field.
• Set up surgical instruments, equipment, supplies, and sterile solutions for procedures.
• Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by passing instruments, fluids, and supplies.
• Prepare, manage, and maintain surgical equipment and sterile instruments throughout procedures.  
• Perform initial instrument, sharps, and sponge counts with the circulating nurse.
• Maintain accurate records for steam sterilizer use and ensure compliance with sterilization protocols.
• Organize suture carts, monitor expiration dates, and maintain adequate surgical inventory.
• Turn over operating rooms efficiently between surgical cases.
• Assist surgical team members with gowning and gloving.
• Assist with patient positioning and safely transport patients before and after surgery.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe operating room environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the surgical services team. 

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred.
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and infection prevention practices.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operating room.
• Must be able to participate in the weekend on-call rotation with a 15-minute response time requirement.
