• Number of Beds - 24
• Number of Staff – 19 staff members with 6 new nurses onboarding within this month
• Type of staff:
  • Day Shift – 1 charge, 5 nurses and an Admin Care tech – we function primary nursing care model
  • Night Shift – 1 charge and 5 nurses when we are full

• Patient Ratios – 1:5, estimated never guaranteed
• EMR – Meditech

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)

Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

• Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital Med/Surg experience
• BLS

Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.

• Chemo certification
• ACLS

• Standard med surg care
• Chemo administration

We are an awesome team that is a med/surg unit with a focus in Oncology care, we have a strong charge nurse team that helps to support new staff members. We also are a remote tele unit so we see a bit of everything along with our oncology patients. Our hospital is in the top 100 hospitals of the nation and we are proud of the quality care that we give. Our team is very positive and is a joy to work with, we often have float pool staff say they love coming to our unit because the team work is so strong. We are also a magnet facility so really appreciate nurses input in how care should be delivered to our patients and we also use an iPhone nursing system so nurses can text and call any care team member immediately from their work iPhone.
