Travel RN – Med/Surg Telemetry

Location: Cleveland, OH
Contract: 20 weeks for winter coverage; 13 weeks also available
Shift: Rotating Days/Nights

• Days: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Shifts may rotate based on operational needs.

Position Details

• Specialty: Med/Surg Telemetry RN
• May float to J1-2, J33, and ED to care for the same patient population.
• Must work at least every other holiday.
• Locals accepted at the same rate.

Required Experience

• 18+ months combined permanent experience in the specialty.
• 18+ months recent Med/Surg Tele experience required; travel experience may count.
• Experience preferably within one facility, but combined experience is accepted.

License & Certifications

• Permanent Ohio RN license or Compact license in hand at submission.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required through AHA or American Red Cross.
• Certifications must be active and in hand; pending certifications are not accepted.

Submission Requirements

• Standard Qualivis Cover Sheet required.
• All RTO must be disclosed at submission and discussed during interview.
• One recent supervisory reference from a Manager, ANM, Supervisor, or Director in the applicable specialty is required. References must be from the past 12 months; coworker references are not accepted.
• Travelers may only be submitted to one position within the health system at a time.
• Facility does not accept license hits or travelers with open background cases.
• BCI/FBI fingerprints must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract.

Orientation & Assessments

• ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment required during orientation.
• Maximum of 2 attempts to pass each assessment; failure may result in cancellation.
• PBDS assessment is waived.

Additional Compliance

• Nurses and CSTs are currently exempt from the nicotine-free facility requirement.
• Permanent/per diem employees must wait 1 year after their previous end date before returning as a traveler.
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to 18 months, followed by a required 6-month break unless otherwise approved.
• Modules average 6–15 hours; first 4 hours are billable, with additional pre-start module time non-billable.
