Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Utica, New York. This position is in the Emergency Department and requires a professional to work day shifts, ensuring critical care for patients in a fast-paced environment. The role guarantees 36 hours per week, with three shifts per week, offering a structured schedule to balance work and life. Starting on August 3, 2026, this opportunity provides an excellent chance to enhance your nursing skills while exploring a vibrant city. Responsibilities include patient assessment, emergency management, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and maintaining accurate documentation.

 

Shift: 8:30a-9p

 

Submission Requirements: 

 

WILL TAKE LOCALS - Local rate (less than 75 miles) 

 

Up to date resume that includes 2+ years of experience in ED with some PEDS experience. Also, documenting travel experience.

 

TRAVEL EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED \n\n Skills Checklist matching specialty 

 

Driver's' licenses with address that matches demographics 

Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC --TNCC IS REQUIRED TO BE IN HAND 

 

NURSYS Report Licenses verification with ACTIVE NY License & ALL RN licenses. RTO MUST be included at time of submission 

 

EMR Exp Required: EPIC 

 

Job Description:

 

Unit: Emergency Department 

 

Shift: 8:30a-9p (Block Scheduling is never promised or guaranteed) 

 

Charge Capability: HIGHLY PREFERRED 

Floating Required: Yes 

Scrub Color: Navy Blue 

Unit Specifics: Common patient diagnosis: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, MI, Cardiac Arrest, Resp Failure Specialty Equipment: Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun 

 

Patients: Newborn, Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatric 

Number of Beds in the Unit: 64 beds, 2 Triage, 40 acute, 6 super track, 2 Trauma, 10 CDU, 6 psych
