Registered Nurse – Neurosurgical Step-Down/PCU

Provide care to a diverse high-acuity neurosurgical and stroke patient population in a mixed-acuity unit with an 8-bed step-down/PCU. Responsibilities include Q1 neuro checks, telemetry, hemodynamic and neurological monitoring, and management of EVDs, lumbar/subdural drains, 3% NS, Cardene drips, and arterial lines. Experience with carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coiling/clipping, DBS insertion, VP shunts, and seizure management is preferred.

Requirements:

2+ years RN experience
Step-Down/PCU experience REQUIRED
High-acuity stroke & neurosurgery experience REQUIRED
Telemetry experience REQUIRED
NY RN License REQUIRED
BLS & NIHSS REQUIRED
ACLS preferred
