Description

Facility: Inova
Specialty: RN – Cardiac ICU / CVICU / CICU
Shift: 12-Hour Day/Night Rotation
Contract: 89 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
EMR: Epic
Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 in ICU | 1:3 in Stepdown

Requirements

VA RN License or Compact RN License
BLS & ACLS required
2+ years of recent dedicated Cardiac ICU/CCU/CVICU experience
Recent hands-on competency with:
- VV/VA ECMO
- IABP
- TTM / Arctic Sun
- Impella
- CRRT
- PA Catheter Guided Therapy
Strong experience managing and titrating cardiac/vasoactive drips
Ability to read and interpret EKG rhythm strips

Common Patient Populations

Post-op CABG
Heart & Lung Transplant
Cardiogenic Shock
Advanced Heart Failure
Cardiac Arrhythmias
Lysis
Post IR/PCI Procedures
TEVAR

Schedule & Other Details

D/N rotation
Every other weekend
4 weekend shifts in a 6-week period
1 major winter holiday + 1 minor holiday as needed
No on-call requirement
First to float, primarily between CICU and CVICU
May float to other ICUs, Stepdown/Progressive Care/IMC/Telemetry as needed
Orientation: 2 shifts
Epic access required
Scrubs: Navy blue or solid white tops/pants; jackets navy blue or solid white
