We are seeking a Travel Physical Therapist Assistant for a 12-week contract in Lehigh Acres, Florida. This hospital-based opportunity offers the chance to work with adult patients while supporting mobility, strength, balance, transfers, and overall functional recovery.

This is a great fit for a PTA who enjoys hands-on patient care, working under the direction of a Physical Therapist, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary rehab team in a medical setting.

Responsibilities

• Carry out treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance activities, transfer training, and functional mobility.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising PT.
• Educate patients on safety strategies, mobility techniques, and home exercise programs.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, therapy team members, and case management.
• Complete timely documentation and progress notes.
